Reviews:

Michelle is a truly gifted and skilled teacher and artist. She uses her vast expertise and talents to target her instruction to the specific needs and desires of each individual student. She does this with warmth, encouragement, and a delightful sense of humor. My drawing evolved so much during my year at Classical Art Academy. If I did not need to go back to work full time, I would continue studying with Michelle every week. She has touched my life in such a powerful way and has helped me to unlock my wellspring of technical and creative drawing potential.  Cricket Babajian

Michelle is a great classical art instructor. In her class I have learned to enjoy the drawing process. The serious approach to teaching in a relaxed environment is very conductive to mastering the skill at one's own pace. I love the music she plays while we draw or paint and I also love her laugh. I have been recommending her class and continue to recommend it to those who want to learn drawing and painting.  Elsy Wilkins

I have been taking Michelle Philip's art classes at the Classical Academy of Art since September 2008. Michelle is an excellent instructor. She has an extraordinary amount of patience and compassion for her students. Her encouragement and her explanations and demonstrations of drawing and painting techniques provide a wonderful learning environment in her classes. Whether you are just beginning on your artistic journey or have more advanced skills, Michelle can take you to the next level of development. Michelle Philip is simply the best.  Drawing Student

Michele has the ability to bring out the best in her students. Her positive attitude and her ability to explain constructively just what you need to know are exceptional. This is professional training that a beginner can start or can supplement the knowledge of a more experienced artist. She works with each student individually at the level they are at. She is a real gem!  B.A. Clark

Michelle is an excellent teacher. I came to her Drawing Fundamentals class as a beginner and was impressed by how quickly Michelle made me realize that I actually can learn. She brings to each class a precious combination of artistic talent and ability to teach - unlike those artists who just want you to "feel it" she guides you through the process. Overall, I highly recommend her.  Daria Jones
